Employment rates by citizenship

In 2025, Greece's employment rates by citizenship increased by 3.5% compared to 2024, reaching 56.5%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 66.6%.

Greece ranks 25th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 18.9% (from 47.5% in 2020).
