At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2019, Hungary's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 2.2% compared to 2018, reaching 13.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 17.2%.

Hungary ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 4.1% (from 14.5% in 2014).
