In 2019, Hungary's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 17.6% compared to 2018, reaching 14.0%.
The figure is below the EU-27 average of 15.9%.
Hungary ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.
Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 9.7% (from 15.5% in 2014).
