At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2019, Romania's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 0.9% compared to 2018, reaching 22.7%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 15.9%.

Romania ranks 1st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 10.3% (from 25.3% in 2014).
