Cooling and heating degree days by country - annual data

In 2016, Hungary's cooling and heating degree days by country increased by 4.2% compared to 2015, reaching 2,715.

Hungary accounts for 88.5% of the EU-27 total of 3,067.

Hungary ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 3.9% (from 2,825 in 2011).
