Cooling and heating degree days by country - annual data

In 2020, Hungary's cooling and heating degree days by country increased by 6.9% compared to 2019, reaching 2,554.

Hungary accounts for 91.4% of the EU-27 total of 2,795.

Hungary ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 2.0% (from 2,606 in 2015).
