Life expectancy by age and sex

In 1979, Hungary's life expectancy by age and sex increased by 0.4% compared to 1978, reaching 69.7.

Hungary ranks 14th out of 16 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 0.6% (from 69.3 in 1974).
