Life expectancy by age and sex

In 1988, Hungary's life expectancy by age and sex increased by 0.4% compared to 1987, reaching 74.2.

Hungary ranks 20th out of 21 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.5% (from 73.1 in 1983).
