Life expectancy by age and sex

In 1996, Hungary's life expectancy by age and sex increased by 1.4% compared to 1995, reaching 66.3.

Hungary ranks 21st out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.8% (from 65.1 in 1991).
