Life expectancy by age and sex

In 1996, Slovakia's life expectancy by age and sex increased by 0.6% compared to 1995, reaching 68.8.

Slovakia ranks 18th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.8% (from 66.9 in 1991).
