In 2007, Hungary's passenger cars, by type of motor energy and size of engine increased by 1.5% compared to 2006, reaching 3,262,000.

Hungary ranks 13th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 24.1% (from 2,629,500 in 2002).
