At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2025, Ireland's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 2.4% compared to 2024, reaching 13.0%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.3%.

Ireland ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.6% (from 12.8% in 2020).
