Population structure indicators at national level

In 2003, Ireland's population structure indicators at national level increased by 0.6% compared to 2002, reaching 33.0.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 39.0.

Ireland ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 3.8% (from 31.8 in 1998).
