Population structure indicators at national level

In 2004, Ireland's population structure indicators at national level increased by 0.9% compared to 2003, reaching 33.3.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 39.3.

Ireland ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 3.4% (from 32.2 in 1999).
