Population structure indicators at national level

In 2012, Ireland's population structure indicators at national level increased by 1.4% compared to 2011, reaching 35.0.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 41.9.

Ireland ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.1% (from 33.3 in 2007).
