In 2019, Ireland's population in private households by educational attainment level increased by 0.9% compared to 2018, reaching 47.3%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 31.7%.

Ireland ranks 1st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 9.2% (from 43.3% in 2014).
