In 2025, Ireland's population in private households by educational attainment level increased by 3.7% compared to 2024, reaching 58.7%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 36.9%.

Ireland ranks 1st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 17.6% (from 49.9% in 2020).
