In 2024, Ireland's population in private households by educational attainment level increased by 3.9% compared to 2023, reaching 56.6%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 36.1%.

Ireland ranks 1st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 19.7% (from 47.3% in 2019).
