At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2014, Italy's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 5.3% compared to 2013, reaching 14.2%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 13.2%.

Italy ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 27.6% (from 19.6% in 2009).
