At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2010, Italy's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 0.5% compared to 2009, reaching 20.0%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.1%.

Italy ranks 8th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 3.8% (from 20.8% in 2005).
