At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2006, Italy's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 0.6% compared to 2005, reaching 17.7%.

Italy ranks 7th out of 25 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 6.8% (from 19.0% in 2001).
