At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2017, Italy's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 2.5% compared to 2016, reaching 19.4%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 16.3%.

Italy ranks 6th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 7.2% (from 18.1% in 2012).
