Employment rates by citizenship

In 2023, Italy's employment rates by citizenship increased by 1.7% compared to 2022, reaching 70.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 75.1%.

Italy ranks 24th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.0% (from 67.7% in 2018).
