Population structure indicators at national level

In 2012, Italy's population structure indicators at national level increased by 2.4% compared to 2011, reaching 34.5.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 29.5.

Italy ranks 1st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.9% (from 32.9 in 2007).
