Population structure indicators at national level

In 2018, Italy's population structure indicators at national level increased by 1.1% compared to 2017, reaching 38.2.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 33.5.

Italy ranks 1st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 8.5% (from 35.2 in 2013).
