Population structure indicators at national level

In 2018, Portugal's population structure indicators at national level increased by 2.5% compared to 2017, reaching 36.9.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 33.5.

Portugal ranks 3rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 14.2% (from 32.3 in 2013).
