Employment rates by educational attainment level

In 2009, Italy's employment rates by educational attainment level decreased by 1.6% compared to 2008, reaching 79.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 84.1%.

Italy ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 3.8% (from 82.5% in 2004).
