At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2021, Latvia's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 8.3% compared to 2020, reaching 23.4%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 16.8%.

Latvia ranks 1st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 7.3% (from 21.8% in 2016).
