At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2024, Latvia's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 4.0% compared to 2023, reaching 21.6%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 16.2%.

Latvia ranks 2nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 5.7% (from 22.9% in 2019).
