Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 1980, Latvia's population change increased by 2.2% compared to 1979, reaching 14.1.

The figure is in line with the EU-27 average of 14.1.

Latvia ranks 16th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 0.7% (from 14.2 in 1975).
