Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2006, Latvia's population change increased by 5.1% compared to 2005, reaching 10.3.

The figure is in line with the EU-27 average of 10.3.

Latvia ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 22.6% (from 8.4 in 2001).
