Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2007, Latvia's population change increased by 5.8% compared to 2006, reaching 10.9.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 10.4.

Latvia ranks 12th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 25.3% (from 8.7 in 2002).
