Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2012, Latvia's population change increased by 7.7% compared to 2011, reaching 9.8.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 10.0.

Latvia ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 10.1% (from 10.9 in 2007).
