Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2011, Latvia's population change decreased by 3.2% compared to 2010, reaching 9.1.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 10.1.

Latvia ranks 25th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 11.7% (from 10.3 in 2006).
