Population on 1 January by age group and sex

In 1980, Latvia's population on 1 january by age group and sex increased by 0.8% compared to 1979, reaching 56,480.

Latvia ranks 20th out of 23 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.5% (from 53,528 in 1975).
