Population on 1 January by age group and sex

In 1981, Latvia's population on 1 january by age group and sex increased by 2.2% compared to 1980, reaching 57,699.

Latvia ranks 19th out of 22 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 6.5% (from 54,159 in 1976).
