Population on 1 January by age group and sex

In 1982, Latvia's population on 1 january by age group and sex increased by 1.7% compared to 1981, reaching 58,666.

Latvia ranks 19th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 7.5% (from 54,594 in 1977).
