Housing cost overburden rate by poverty status - EU-SILC survey

In 2025, Latvia's housing cost overburden rate by poverty status decreased by 14.9% compared to 2024, reaching 5.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 7.7%.

Latvia ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 18.8% (from 4.8% in 2020).
