Housing cost overburden rate by poverty status - EU-SILC survey

In 2024, Latvia's housing cost overburden rate by poverty status decreased by 6.9% compared to 2023, reaching 6.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 8.2%.

Latvia ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 24.1% (from 5.4% in 2019).
