Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2010, Lithuania's population change decreased by 2.9% compared to 2009, reaching 9.9.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 10.4.

Lithuania ranks 20th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 11.2% (from 8.9 in 2005).
