Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2018, Lithuania's population change decreased by 3.1% compared to 2017, reaching 9.5.

The figure is in line with the EU-27 average of 9.5.

Lithuania ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 2.1% (from 9.7 in 2013).
