Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2020, Lithuania's population change decreased by 5.6% compared to 2019, reaching 8.4.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 9.1.

Lithuania ranks 22nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 18.4% (from 10.3 in 2015).
