Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2021, Lithuania's population change decreased by 1.2% compared to 2020, reaching 8.3.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 9.2.

Lithuania ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 19.4% (from 10.3 in 2016).
