Life expectancy by age and sex

In 1999, Lithuania's life expectancy by age and sex increased by 0.4% compared to 1998, reaching 77.0.

Lithuania ranks 21st out of 25 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.8% (from 74.9 in 1994).
