Life expectancy by age and sex

In 1989, Lithuania's life expectancy by age and sex decreased by 0.7% compared to 1988, reaching 66.9.

Lithuania ranks 18th out of 21 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.8% (from 65.1 in 1984).
