Population on 1 January by age group and sex

In 1982, Lithuania's population on 1 january by age group and sex increased by 2.9% compared to 1981, reaching 74,435.

Lithuania ranks 17th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 16.1% (from 64,133 in 1977).
