Population on 1 January by age group and sex

In 1983, Lithuania's population on 1 january by age group and sex increased by 4.9% compared to 1982, reaching 78,082.

Lithuania ranks 17th out of 23 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 19.2% (from 65,479 in 1978).
