Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2006, Luxembourg's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data increased by 2.5% compared to 2005, reaching 8.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 65.0%.

Luxembourg ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 7.9% (from 7.6% in 2001).
