Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2007, Luxembourg's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data decreased by 1.2% compared to 2006, reaching 8.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 62.4%.

Luxembourg ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 9.5% (from 7.4% in 2002).
