Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2019, Luxembourg's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data increased by 6.7% compared to 2018, reaching 22.3%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 77.5%.

Luxembourg ranks 25th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.8% (from 21.9% in 2014).
